Hello, and welcome! My name is Elle, and I am a 23 year old first time mom to a 14-month old toddler. I wanted to start sharing my journey because I have realized that I have actually hit the point in my life where I can be labeled as an “adult”. That fact is terrifying in itself, but it also comes with a lot to deal with on the day to day. I figured that I can’t be the only one going through this, so I might as well share what works for me, what doesn’t, and hopefully, eventually, create a little community of people that are going through it together.
Just a little bit about me: Right now, I am currently working full-time from home as a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator for an entertainment network that plays in gyms. Luckily, I am fortunate enough that this job allows me to flexibility to also be able to have my toddler at home with me. However, being a stay-at-home mom while working full-time definitely has its challenges and to be honest – I would like to have another kid. While the job is flexible, I do not believe that I could work and have two young children at home with me. Financially I do need the income I get from this job, so recently I have been looking into side jobs and ways that I could start making income without needing a 9-5. So far I have started work on DataAnnotation and Upwork , but not enough to justify leaving my current position.
Additionally, my boyfriend and I have just bought our first house (yay!), and being able to decorate and utilize this space that is now totally ours has been a dream. I have been doing lots of DIY’s to help decorate and make our house feel more like a home, so I plan on sharing the details on those as well as decor finds and tips and tricks I learn along the way about maintaining a home!
The other big puzzle piece to my life right now is my health and wellness. I used to be pretty active before I had my daughter (although I haven’t always had the best relationship with food), but after giving birth and having a newborn, a baby, and now a toddler, I haven’t been focusing on that part of my life as much as I would like to. So, I am also on a journey to get back on my fitness journey and make healthier eating habits.
If you relate to any of this or find yourself on a similar journey, please stick around!

[…] I am constantly wondering if the meals that I am feeding my daughter are good enough. Is she getting enough protein? Eating enough? Drinking enough milk? Drinking too much milk? […] I was in my first trimester and gearing up to give birth to my daughter. I was terrified out of my mind. I had always known that giving birth was not going to be pleasant for me. I have a very low pain tolerance and extreme medical anxiety, and I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. The one thing I did take comfort in was reading other birth stories from women who had successfully already birthed their babies. So, now that my baby is a happy, crazy toddler, I figure it was time to share my birth story! […]
