Affordable Easter Egg Stuffers for Toddlers That Aren’t Candy

When doing my Easter shopping for my toddler this year, I had a really hard time finding good options to put in eggs! She is 15 months old, so at the age where looking for eggs would be fun for her. But everything that is marketing to go in eggs is either full of sugar or a choking hazard. So, I wanted to share some of the better options that I came across when it comes to Easter egg stuffers!

1. Small Pop-It Toys

My toddler already has a few of these larger pop-it toys and she is obsessed with them. These are perfect because you can fold them up to fit inside even the smaller Easter eggs. They also are actually keychains, so they can be clipped to straps on strollers, high chairs, diaper bags, wherever!

2. Little Toy Cars

These little cars are great, and they come with their own eggs so you know they will fit! Right now, my toddler just calls everything “truck”. I am hoping this variety of vehicles will help expand her vocabulary to include words like “car” and “bus”, too! Also love that they are a little squishy so I don’t have to worry as much about her running around with them and hurting herself.

3. Rubber Ducks

These ducks also come equipped with their own perfectly sized-eggs! Since this is my first Easter with my daughter where we’ll be hiding eggs, I’m stocking up so I love that these are included. I feel like toddlers can never have too many bath or pool toys, and who doesn’t love ducks?

4. Socks!

I am constantly losing tiny toddler socks, so any excuse to buy more, I am taking! Plus, these are the perfect size for rolling up and sticking in an egg. I really like to look for socks that have the grippies on the bottom. My toddler has a very love-hate relationship with her shoes. So, in the – very common – event that she finds herself shoe-less, she won’t be sliding all over the place.

5. Lego Bricks

Any sort of block or building item is great for fine motor development and creative play. These bricks are the perfect size to where they are easy enough for little hands to work with, but no too small that they are a massive choking hazard. Just like with anything, I would obviously supervise your toddler while playing with these, but definitely a lot safer than traditional Lego pieces!

6. Non-Candy Snacks

Any sort of yogurt drop, puff, or even Cheerio are great options to use in Easter eggs. Pretty much every toddler goes crazy for them, and as parents, we don’t have to feel guilty that they’re eating junk for breakfast. Plus, these are things that you most likely already have in your pantry!

Just because our toddlers aren’t ready to handle massive amounts of sugar before breakfast doesn’t mean they have to miss out on the fun! I love that my daughter can be involved in Easter activities from gifts to baskets, and even an egg hunt with these super cute non-candy Easter egg stuffers!
